Booking conditions

BOOKING CONDITIONS FOR BIRDING TOURS

We kindly invite you to read our booking conditions before filling-in our booking form. These conditions are valid for our tours run in Spain. Different conditions apply to our Moroccan tours.

Number of travelers:

Normally there is a minimum number of 4 fellow travellers on each trip and an usual maximum number of 6 plus one guide. Exceptionally we can arrange tours for more travellers with several guides. Likewise, private tours for couples or families are also possible, please leave us a quote.

Travel:

We kindly ask you to book your flights independently to Málaga airport. Other possible airports are Sevilla and Madrid. This gives you great flexibility in terms of choosing the flight times and return leg of your journey home. The meeting point for every tour is clearly indicated on each tour's webpage.

Ground transport:

The price includes all travel and fuel during the trip in a comfortable, modern air conditioned vehicle. We normally use a minibus or people carrier, but in a private tour for just 1 or 2 travellers we'll use a 5 pax Suzuki.  Of course, all our vehicles comply with the current EU safety legislation.

Accommodation:

Accommodation is carefully chosen to offer you a good quality standard of hotel or fully equipped country inn next to the birding areas. We ensure that all rooms are en suite.

Food:

Our tours include usually full board. The full board consists of breakfast, lunch and evening meal, with red wine and water unless otherwise specified. Lunch is sometimes a picnic lunch on site and sometimes a full menu or tapas lunch at a traditional venta, depending on each tour and on each journey. Those who require a single room will have to pay a corresponding supplement as stated on the webpage for every tour.

Dates:

Since our groups are usually small, the journey dates may occasionally be fine tuned to meet the needs of all interested parties, but don't worry, they will never be changed if the flights have already been booked.

Meeting point:

Please, drop us a line telling us about possible flights before booking your flights. As this is generally a group tour, we'll need to work out the best time to meet. Please, do NOT book any flight before you hear back from us re. a precise meeting location and time. As a rule of thumb we' all will meet not later than 14:00 local time -TBA-. Same for the flight back, which should leave not earlier than 12:00, TBA. In case you'll decide to stay longer or arrive a day earlier, we'll be happy to advice or give recommendations.

Tour Operator:

We (Wild Andalucía) are guides operating through Spanish travel agencies licensed by the Spanish Turism Board, as indicated on every tour page.

Insurance:

It is highly advisable that you take out a personal insurance policy before leaving your country. Please let us know the name of your company insurance before travelling. For information of all travellers, our tour operator will provide own civil liability insurance. As travel agency licensed by the Spanish Turism Board all our clients will have a basic travel insurance, but which might not be enough to cover certain personal or items damages.

In addition to your personal Travel & Medical Insurance, do bring (and carry with you when out and about) your up to date European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). Please note they only last 5 years. If you still have one of the older forms (E111) then it needs to be changed to this new card.

Note for UK travelers: You do not have to pay for an EHIC, which can be obtained or renewed free of charge by calling 0300 3301350 or applying on-line at www.ehic.org.uk . This is a secure site that diverts to the correct page within the main NHS.UK website. The cards are valid for five years, after which they can be renewed, again, free of charge.

How to book:

To book our services you need to make a written confirmation by letter or email, plus paying € 300 as deposit. The rest shall be paid by wire transfer or credit card, at the latest 45 days before the journey starts. The price includes guide services, accommodation, all meals, ground transport and fuel. You are entitled to cancel your bookings at any moment, but on the following terms:

1. If the cancellation is made between booking and 45 days before the start of the trip you will forfeit the deposit (€ 300) or -if preferred- it will be kept for future tours run by Wild Andalucía with an expiration date of 1 year.

2. If the cancellation is made between 44 and 15 days before the start of the journey you will forfeit 50% (where the deposit would be also included) of the total amount paid.

3. If the cancellation is made within 14 days of the start of the journey you will forfeit 75% of the total paid.

Any breach of the above instalments or unjustified delays in paying them will automatically lead to cancellation of the booking, the above mentioned rules then being applied. The post-cancellation sum of money to be reimbursed will be sent by wire transfer. Bank details will be sent to you once you confirm booking. After receipt of the deposit we will send you more into-detail information about latest bird sights, checklists, news, etc.
